After a very tolerable 16 hour flight we have arrived in Hong Kong. Whit and I are all rested up and ready to begin our Asian adventure.  More to come....

   Riding crew at the top of Peak 8, Breckenridge before a slightly terrifying and very rocky ride down Whale's Tail. 12,998ft makes for an exhausting ride down.  Well worth the work though.

Arrested Bohemian Rhapsody

I'm pretty sure CPD would've tased this drunken party animal until he pissed himself and passed out in the back seat of the cop car. Luckily his arresting officers appeared far more patient and tolerant.  It's hard to deny that he's a fantastic singer though.

I like how he exits with a nice sign off to the officer... "physical violence is the least of my priorities". 
Well done, sir. You stay classy.

I don't understand it, but I like it

New Sigur Ros album, Valtari, released today in the U.S..  The album which is said to sound something like an "avalanche in slow motion", is said (by only the band thus far) to be their best album yet.

Red Bull Stratos

Skydiver, base jumper, and certified maniac, Felix Baumgartner will attempt a daring jump from the Earth's stratosphere a mere 120,000 feet from the ground. Felix, who will be outfitted with a state of the art 260lb pressure suit, will leap from his pressurized capsule and plummet to the ground at subsonic speeds.

If all goes to plan, Felix will set multiple new world records and break three previously set by US Air Force Colonel, Joe Kittinger during his 102,800 foot jump in 1960:

-Freefall from highest altitude, 120,000 feet
-First human to reach supersonic speed in freefall, 690mph
-Longest freefall time, est. 5minutes 35seconds
-Highest manned balloon flight

No official launch date has been released as of yet, but the mission has been confirmed for Roswell, NM before the end of 2012.

Meet Cody

Somewhere in between hundreds of clips of folks getting hit in the nuts with assorted things, AFV (yes, that's Americas Funniest Home Videos) squeezed in this gem of a video. Meet Cody the Howling Dog.  Not exactly the voice of an angel erupting out of this animal.
